What's the difference between headphones, earphones and in-ear earphones?
The use of these terms varies. However, they are usually defined as follows:
- Headphones are typically larger models with a frame. They sit on the ear, and some have integrated ambient noise suppression.
- Earphones are typically smaller and are placed in front of the auditory canal. These models are typically provided as accessories with playback devices.
- In-ear earphones are similar to earphones because they are also placed in the ear rather than on top. However, since they are placed in the auditory canal and have an exact fit, they seal the ear against ambient noise to achieve better sound quality.
- Audéo PFE are smaller than conventional headphones and do not require a battery (in contrast to some earphones with noise suppression). They are more comfortable and provide a better seal than conventional in-ear earphones.
Which devices are compatible with Audéo PFE and Audéo PFE with microphone?
Audéo PFE can be used with most MP3, CD and DVD devices as well as with portable game consoles. A 1/8 in./3.5 mm stereo mini-jack is required. Audéo PFE with microphone is compatible with the iPhone™ and other mobile digital devices that have a 1/8 in./3.5 mm stereo mini-jack.
Are there different Audéo PFE models?
